Carrie Grishaber
Carrie Grishaber (she/her) is a Finance & Homeownership Educator serving Washtenaw, Livingston, Jackson, Hillsdale, Lenawee, and Monroe Counties and also provides state-wide education.
Carrie specializes in financial disaster preparedness and working with professionals in the Human Services field to prepare for conversations with clients regarding budgeting and finance. She also provides a wide variety of programming such as:
- Creating a Spending Plan Work for You
- Informed Renter
- How Much Home Can You Afford?
- Tips to Build and Protect Your Credit
- Savvy Tips for Starting a Small Business
- Applying for Student Loans
- Wealth Building
Prior to working for MSU Extension, Carrie served in the Social Work field, notably in volunteer management and child and family services. Carrie holds a Master of Social Work from University of Michigan where she concentrated in Community Organizing and Management of Human Services as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from Northern Michigan University. Carrie served as an AmeriCorps NCCC Corpsmember in 2008-09.
